ELINORE TURNIPSEED CUSTER

After an illness dating from February of last year, Mrs. Elinor Custer, wife of Frank Custer, died at her home northwest of town Wednesay morning at six o'clock. Last fall Mrs. Custer spent 5 weeks at Martinsville and seemed greatly benefitted but 3 weeks ago last Sunday she was stricken with paralysis and gradually grew worse until her death was expected at any time. Elinor Flo Turnipseed was the daughter of Nathan & Martha Turnipseed and was born Feb 8, 1883. She married Frank Custer Sept 9, 1904. They have one daughter, Truth Marie, 10 years old. Her father, Nathan Turnipseed, died 5 years ago in Florida where he had gone to spend the winter on account of his health. Mrs. Custer is survived by her husband and daughter, her mother, two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Jobe of Pretty Prairie, KS and Miss Marie Turnipseed at home and two brothers, Ashal in the US service in Hayti and Thomas, living north of town. She was a devoted member of the ME Church at Potato Creek and by her many kind acts and sweet edisposition won a large circle of friends, not only in her church but the entire neighborhood. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Nicely at the home this monring at 10 with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. -- kbz
