The people of Coal Creek were very much shocked on Wednesday on the 8th inst. by the sudden death of Levi Curtis, an old resident of Coal Creek. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a Mason. He was intered in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Saturday of the 11th ult. –-- kbz

Levi Curtis, an old and wealthy farmer of Montgomery County, died on Wednesday night from injuries received while catching turkeys. Tuesday night he went into the barn-yard to catch some turkeys to be dressed for market, when one of them flew against his breast with such force as to knock him insensible and causing injuries which resulted in his death. --– thanks so much to Lena !
