Paul C. Curran, 40, a resident of Crawfordsville community most of his life, died Tuesday at 5:10 p.m. at his home at 603 Tuttle Ave. Death occurred suddenly following a heart attack. Mr. Curran was an employee of Mid-States Steel and Wire Co. since 1942. He was born in New Castle Feb. 11, 1917, the son of Edward and Flossie Payne Curran. He married Hazel Ross in Crawfordsville May 18, 1942. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are the wife; three brothers, Charles and Ewell Curran of Crawfordsville and Luther Curran of Lafayette; a half-brother, Kelley Curran of Crawfordsville; and three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Shubert of Waynetown, Mrs. Edith Bever of Hillsboro and Mrs. Carrie Korry of Chicago, Ill. The parents, two daughters and a son preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at the Proffitt and Brown Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Carlton Christenson of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
