Curl - Ruby Hale

Ruby L. Curl, 93, of Owensville, IN went to be with the Lord April 22, 2021. She was born in Gibson County Oct 2, 1927 to the late Warrick John Hale and Hazel Ovella (Linenburger) Hale. Ruby attended and graduated from Owensville HS in 1945. She worked as a Secretary for CES Waynetown for 20 years. Ruby married Encil Curl February 3, 1947 and enjoyed 51 years of marriage before his passing in 1998. She was a member of Alamo DES #498, American Legion Auxiliary, and Maumee General Baptist Church. Ruby enjoyed traveling around with her husband and the Eastern Star. They visited many states around the US and Canada. Ruby is survived by her son Marvin (Carol) Curl, Sr; siblings Phyllis Williams and William Hale; grandchildren Tabitha (Rockie) Vincent; Alisha (Steve) Walker, Marvin (Leighann) Curl, Britney (James) Wilkinson, Ryan McPheron and Jenniver Cole; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Holder’s Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Curl. Funeral will be held 1 p.m. April 27, 2021 at Holder’s Funeral Home with Kevin Miley officiating and burial at Maumee Cemetery. All those who wish to honor and remember Ruby in person at the service is required to wear a mask for the safety of all those in attendance. Social distancing will be enforced.
