Owensville – Encil E. Curl, 75, died at 5:24 a.m. April 20, 1998 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born Nov 14, 1922 in Gibson County. He retired in 1985 as Manager of Custom Farm Service in Waynetown and was a member of the Maumee General Baptist Church, Past Master of Alamo Lodge F&AM 144, Past Patron of Eastern Star 498, the VFW and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Griff and Mary (Grubb) Curl; two brothers, Kenneth and Donald. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Ruby (Hale) Curl; a son, Marvin of Owensville; two sisters, Lillian Garrett of Salem, Ore and Jean Curl of Kansas City, KS; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 23 at Holder Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. Ken Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Maumee Cemetery. Visitation from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
