Edgar A. Cuppy, who has been in poor health for some months died of appoplexy at 3 o'clock on Wednesday morning. He worked about his father's place during the morning. He became ill just after dinner and lost consciousness about 5 o'clock. Funeral services from the home of S.E. Cuppy at 2:30 on Friday afternoon under auspices of the Knights of Pythias, Rev. S.K. Fuson will officiate, assisted by Rev. O.S. Stewart. The male quartet under direction of Mrs. Will Oglesbee will sing. Services at the grave in Maple Ridge will be in charge of Rev. J.E. Stone. He was the son of Seth E. and Mary Pinkerton Cuppy and was born on a farm near Shelburn, Sept 18, 1865. He was educated in the Shelburn schools and moved here with his parents when he was 18. He married Margaret Miller Jan 31, 1900. He was in charge of Water Babble for two years and of The Shades two years, since which he has been in business in Waveland. He was a member of Rathbone Lodge K of P. During the Union meetings two years ago he made the confession of Christ. He was widely known by the traveling public, and had many friends because he was essentially a friendly man. The wife, the parents, and one sister, Mrs. Bert S. Kritz survive. - kbz
