Mrs. Sarah E. CUNNINGHAM, 82, a long time resident of Crawfordsville and the mother of Mrs. Fred BURKE and Howard F. (Babe) Cunningham of this city died at the home of her son at 9:25 o'clock Saturday (911 S. Green St) morning following an illness of five weeks. Mrs. Cunningham suffered a fall 5 weeks ago Monday in which her hip was broken. She had been confined to her home ever since. Complications following the fall caused her death. The deceased was born in Wayne County July 17, 1849 a daughter of Jeremiah and America Hoffa. She moved to this city with her family when a small child and has resided here ever since. Her husband, Benjamin Cunningham died 25 years ago. She was a life long member of the Christian Church. In addition to Mrs. Burke and son, Howard of this city, Mrs. Cunningham is survived by 3 other children: Mrs. Eva CONDON, Anderson; Walter Cunningham, Kalamazoo, MI; and CA Cunningham of New York City. One brother, Daniel Hoffa of this city and several grandchildren also survive. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been completed. - typed by kbz
