Cummings - Ethel Frisbe

Mrs. Ethel F. Cummings, 81, of Crawfordsville, died Monday morning at the Ben Hur Home in the city. She had been ill several months. Mrs. Cummings at one time was employed at the former Woolworth Store in Crawfordsville. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. Born Nov. 19, 1889, in Hendricks County, she was the daughter of William Harvey and Belle Day Frisbe. She was married Dec. 17, 1908, to Delmar Cummings. He preceded her in death in January 1933 Survivors include a son, Clayton Cummings of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Gertrude Scott of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Rev. Carlile Scott, Mrs. Cummings' son-in-law will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
