Mrs. Bessie L. Crow, 80, native and longtime resident of Montgomery County, died Monday morning in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient since Thursday. Mrs. Crow had made her home the past several yeras with a granddaughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. John Long on the Country Club Road. Born Sept. 4, 1887, in Smartsburg, Mrs. Crow was the daughter of Donnavon Edwin and Elizabeth Reynolds Delanney. She attended Montgomery County Schools. She married Charley P. Crow Aug. 27, 1908, in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death May 3, 1940. The couple began housekeeping on a farm south of Crawfordsville. Mr. Crow was a farmer all his life. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Redden of Crawfordsville and a sister, Mrs. Opal Skinner of Ladoga. In addition to the granddaughter with whom she made her home, Mrs. Crow is survived by two other granddaughters, Mrs. Harland Flint of Kingman and Mrs. James Arthur of Darlington; two grandsons, Donald Eugene Redden of Waynetown and William B. Redden of Crawfordsville, and 16 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bright Funeral Home in Crawfordsville. Rev. Henry Karg of Harrison, Ohio, former pastor of the Mt. Zion EUB Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery southwest of Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday. - jlr
