ROACHDALE - Laura Olive Crosby, 91, died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday in her home here. Se had been seriously ill for two weeks. She was born July 26, 1869, in the Roachdale community to George W. and Harriet Jeffries Sutherlin. In September, 1889, she was married to Ed Crosby in Roachdale. He died Seppt. 14, 1960. A member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, she was also a 50-year member of the Roachdale Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include two sons, Robert and Ralph Crosby, and a daughter Esther Rice, all of Roachdale; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Perkins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Wednesday at the funeral home. obituary contributed
