Cronk - Aaron

Death, attributed to complications, brought the long life of Aaron Cronk, 87 year resident of Long Point, formerly of this city, to an end last evening at 10:45 o’clock at his home. Mr. Cronk had been ill for about six weeks. The deceased was born March 17, 1848 in Clinton County, Ind and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Cronk, both having preceded him in death. In 1871 he was united in marriage with Lucinda Fruits in Indiana. To this union 10 children were born, three of whom have passed away. 27 years ago the family moved to Streator where Mr. Cronk lived until a year ago when he moved to Long Point to be with his son, William. Mr. Cronk leaves to survive his widow and seven children: Charles and Harry, Streator; Mrs. Henry Davis, Janesboro, Ind; William, Long Point; Ora, Mrs. Hattie Hobbs and Mrs. Margaret Dial, Terre Haute, Ind. One brother, Grant, Indiana, one sister, Mrs. Alice Brooks, Danville, 30 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren are also left. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from Solon Bros. Chapel. Burial will be made in Hill Crest cemetery.
