Miss Caroline Crocker, 60, practical nurse, died Saturday in the Ingram Nursing Home in Covington.  Death from a heart attack
came unexpectedly.
At the age of eight, Miss Crocker went to Ireland where she remained her early life.  She graduated from the City Hospital School of Nursing in Belfast, and served in the Nurses Corps during World War I.
She spent the first few post war years in Canada and the past 30 years, she has made her home with her cousin, Grrffith Quirk of Newtown.  She did practical nursing around Crawfordsville and other sections of Montgomery County.
She was born July 5, 1888 in Sioux City, Iowa.
Survivors include five nieces and two cousins, H. G. Quirk of Newtown and Gerald Quirk of Ottawa, Canada.
Services were held Monday at the Presbyterian Church in Newtown, with the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  - jz
