Terry Lee Crausare of Lake Holiday passed away Friday, March 3, at Franciscan Health of Lafayette, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 74.
Born July 22, 1948 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Don Eugene Crausare and Patricia Rutledge Crausare, whom he live with until her death. He attended school at New market and graduated from Crawfordsville High School.
Terry was a true Patroit. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from May 1967 to may 1971. He was an Army Ranger. He was an artist. Terry was employed by Disney as a background animator. He worked security for NASA. He was a postal worker for several years.
Terry loved his country deeply. His other love was music. Specifically The Beatles. Terry had an extensive album collection and Beatles memorabilia collection. Terry even owned a VW bus with Sargent Pepper's wheel on the front in the 70's.
Terry's favorite title was dad. He was a proud father and is survived by son Gregory Crausare (Lauren) of Speedway; daughter Lisa Mackey of Crawfordsville; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Terry was a true one of a kind character. He lived his life authentically and honestly true to himself.
A gathering in memory of Terry Crausare will be held on Sunday, March 12th from 2 pm to 3 pm at Burkhart Funeral Home.
