“Darlington Eyetems” – Last Sunday, while the winds whirled the biting frost and snow, relatives and friends stood around the cold, cold grave of mother Elizabeth Carshner (sic) relict of the late Abram Crashner (sic) well known of the early residents of this county. Mrs. Crashner was ill but a few days of pneumonia. She was 67 years of age and had been a resident of this vicinity for the past 40 years, yet she was only recently vigorous and spry as any girl. She was the mother of 12 children, six of whom survive her. For many years she was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She lived respected and died lamented. – kbz
