Fred Crane, 80 of Crawfordsville who was formerly proprietor of the Hillsboro Hotel died at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville Sunday afternoon after a year’s illness. He had been employed at RR Donnelley & Sons Co in Crawfordsville. Survivors are the widow, Susie McCollum Crane; two sons, Elmer of Indianapolis; Clifford, Crawfordsville and five daughters: Mrs. Vera Henry of Wingate; Mrs. Alpha Focken, Indianapolis; Mrs. Claudine Branstetter of Darlington; Mrs. Ethel Cummings, Crawfordsville; one sister, Mrs. Leona Yeazel, East Lynn, Ill; one brother, MS Crane, Wingate and 20 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Wingate Christian Church Tuesday afternoon with burial in South Cemetery, Wingate. - kbz
