Mrs. Susie E. Crane, 91, 717 W. Wabash Ave., died at 6:30 a.m. today at her home following a four-week illness. Mrs. Crane was a member of the Wingate Christian Church. She was born Sept. 18, 1880, in Montgomery County, the daughter of Tom and Elizabeth Leighty McCullum. She married the late Fred Crane on Dec. 24. 1898. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Mitchell and Mrs. Ethel Cummings, both of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Vera Henry of Wingate, and Mrs. Claudin Branstetter of Darlington; one son, Elmer Crane of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and two daughters. Services will be conducted in the Hunt and Son Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Wingate. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
