J. Glenn Crane, 60 years old and well known in the brick making industry for a number of years died about 10 o’clock Thursday night at his home on South Main Street after an illness of more than two years.  He had lived in Veedersburg 22 years and had been manage of the Veedersburg Clay Products Company until his health failed.  He was born on July 22, 1892 the son of John and Mary Rush Crane of Clinton and spent his entire life in Clinton, and at Crawfordsville where he was graduated from Wabash College.  He was employed by the Standard Brick Company at Crawfordsville until moving to Veedersburg. He was married on Aug 22, 1924 to Ina Martin who died two years ago.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Patti McKinney of Veedersburg; three grandsons and one sister, Mrs. Fred Nichols of Springfield, Ill.  He was a member of the Veedersburg Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge of Veedersburg and Lions Club and the Attica-Williamsport Rotary club. Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock DST Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Richard Haley of Rensselaer a former pastor with burial at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery south of Clinton with the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home in charge. – kbz
