ANNA CAROLINE CRANE

Anna Caroline Crane, 71 of 632 Sugartree Road was found dead of natural causes at her home Saturday morning April 5, 1969. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Campbell Crane and was a resident many years of this community. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. James J. Paterson of Crawfordsville; a nephew, Morton L. Patterson, and his son, James Crane, of Philadelphia and a cousin, Gertrude Baker of Tucson, AZ. Miss Crane was active in music clubs here, especially the Morning Musicale, and taught piano for several years. For two years she was secretary to the late Louis B. Hopkins, then president of Wabash College. She was a member of the Wabash Presbyterian Church. She served on the Crawfordsville Public Library Board and was a member of the Athenian Club. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home, where friends may call at 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Larimore Wickett will officiate. Friends may make memorials to the charities of their choice. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.-- tch
