Ellis Cruea, well known resident and business man of Waynetown, died at his home here Wednesday night following a two weeks' illness. Death was caused by blood poisoning. Mr. Cruea was born May 25, 1859 in Ohio, the son of John and Margaret Schleppy Cruea. When a small boy he came to Montgomery county and had been a resident of the county ever since. For the past seven years Mr. Cruea had lived at Waynetown, operating a restaurant there most of the time. He was a member of the Liberty Christian church and a member of the Modern Woodsmen of Crawfordsville. Those surviving are his wife, four sons, George of Hammond; Alvin and John of Crawfordsville, and Guy of Jersey City, NJ and three daughters, Mrs. Florence Fouts, Mrs. Josie Holman and Mrs. Opal Lewellen, all of Waynetown. Four grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ruphina Meagher of Spencer also survive. The funeral services will be held from the Waynetown Christian church Saturday morning at 10:30 with the Rev. Will Newlin of Crawfordsville in charge. Burial will be made in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. -- typed by kbz
