Joseph CROTHERS, the 18 month old child of Mr. and Mrs. Max
Crothers of Detroit was instantly killed when the car in which
the parents were riding went into the ditch near the Albert Deere
place on No. 234 about 11 on Saturday night. The parents with
Mrs. Joe Crothers and Mrs. Kent Sollars were on their way to
Silverwood to attend the funeral of Wallace Bush of Kingman. The
child was thrown out of the window and the car fell on it. The
other occupants of the car were not seriously hurt. The body was
brought to the Machledt Funeral Home and prepared for the burial
which took place at Clinton on Monday. Ben Canine brought in the
car which was so little damaged that the people were able to
drive home in it on Tuesday. -- typed by kbz
