Philander M. Crawford, retired farmer and well known citizen of Linnsburg met a tragic death Tuesday afternoon about 4 o'clock when he was instantly killed by a westbound interurban train on the THI & E traction line. Mr. Crawford who was a veteran of the civil war and who had a host of friends in this county went to his death when he became confused and walked into an interurban stock train at Linnsburg.
