Mrs. Sarah Jane Coyner, 88, who died at Witham Hospital, Lebanon from the effects of a fractured hip was the last of her family, composed of 9 brothers and sisters. Born in the Young's Chapel neighborhood July 25, 1861, Mrs. Coyner's maiden name was Sarah Jane Hughes. Her brothers and sisters all preceded her in death. The Hughes family was a pioneer in the vicinity of Young's Chapel. Mrs. Coyner was the widow of Wash Coyner, who died Feb 5 of this year. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Thelma Wetherall of Indianapolis and her son, James Irvin, Colfax. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Coyner was a member of the Young's Chapel Christian Church. Funeral services were conducted at William Funeral Home in Colfax with burial at Bowers Cemetery. - kbz
