Robert C. Coyner, a former student at the old Academy, died a this home in Rockford, Illinois very suddenly. He was in the private office of the Manufacturer's bank, waiting for a Library Board meeting to convene and was found dead there, sitting in his chair. Mr. Coyner was a brother of Prof. JM Coyner of the Academy. After leaving here he attended Hanover College, leaving there in the senior year to join the Army. After the close of the war, he went into the drug business at Delphi, afterward at Pana, Ill and Rockford. His first wife was a Garrett of Delphi. He was born July 13, 1838. -- kbz
