Mrs. Naomi Cox, 65, of 19 Del Mar Drive, died at 11:25 a.m. Sunday in Americana Nursing Home at Lafayette after a long illness. A native of Waveland, she was a daughter of Zura and Jessie Blake Monroe and was born Oct. 25, 1904. She was a 1921 graduate of Waveland High School and attended Central Normal College at Danville. She married Cyril Cox on Oct. 6, 1929. Mrs. Cox was a member of the First Christian Church here. She was a bookkeeper for the implement firm of Veatch & Pinkerton. Surviving are her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald D. and Lydia Cox of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Karen, Kathy and Kevin; a sister, Mrs. Eldo Bannon of Parkersburg, and two nieces and a nephew. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Howard Miller and Paul Million officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Mrs. Naomi (Monroe) Cox, 65, of 19 Del Mar Drive, Crawfordsville, died at 11:25 a.m. Sunday in Americana Nursing Center, Lafayette.  She had been in ill health for 10 months.  She is the mother of State Police Sgt. Donald D. Cox of 2813 Holly Drive, Lafayette.  Mrs. Cox was born at Waveland and spent most of her life in Crawfordsville. She was a bookkeeper at Veatch and Pinkerton Co and a member of the First Christian Church. She was married in 1929 to Cyril Cox who survives along with the son.
