Miss Mary Ellen Cox, aged seventeen years, died Wednesday at the home of her parents at 10 Fremont street, after a painful illness of several weeks. The funeral took place Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, interment at the Masonic cemetery. Miss Cox's many friends will be saddened to learn of her death. - transcribed by Kim H
