Mr. Cox owned and operated Standard garage and used car lots here for many years. He was a member of Dalrington United Methodist Church and Darlingotn Masonic Lodge. In 1933 he was married to Mamie Fletcher, who survives.
Darlington -- Alexander D. Cox, 69, a local businessman died early today in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. Born at Ockley, he was a graduate of Darlington HS and Wabash College. He had been a teacher and coach at Francesville, Linden, Darlington, New Richmond and Bowers schools.
Mr. Cox owned and operated Standard garage and used car lots here for many years. He was a member of Dalrington United Methodist Church and Darlingotn Masonic Lodge. In 1933 he was married to Mamie Fletcher, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Julia Perkins of Urbana, Illinois; one son, Joseph R. Cox of Boca Raton, Fla; a brother, Cecil Cox of Darlington; and three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Marshall of Darlington and Mrs. Margaret Edwards and Mrs. Evelyn Wingert, both of Crawfordsville.
