Mrs. I.M. Cox died at her home on East Howard Street early Tuesday moring after suffering many weeks with cancer. Funeral services will be held at the home this morning by Revs. Alley and Pearce. The body will be taken to Terre Haute for burial in Highland Lawn Cemetery after a short service by Rev. Mr. Brandenburg. The funeral will be in charge of the Daughters of America, of which Mrs. Cox was a member. Mrs. Cox's maiden name was Miss Agnes Johnson. She was born near Portland Mills Oct 2, 1856. She was married May 9, 1875. Two sons, both married survive, one in Terre Haute and one at Arthur, Illinois. Mrs. Cox joined the united Brethren Church 28 years ago. After coming to Waveland she transferred her membership to the M.E. Church. She was well liked by all who knew her. She bore her terrible suffering with the greatest patience. Sympathy is expressed for the bereaved husband who gave her the tenderest care. In this connection Mr. Cox wishes to thank the neighbors and friends for their assistance and sympathy. - kbz
