Cowan - John Ayres - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

John Ayres Cowan, the only son of Dr. EH Cowan and wife, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock. The funeral will occur from the family residence tomorrow at 3 p.m. John Cowan’s death is a peculiarly sad one. He never fully recovered from the effects of the grip, and for several months has been in exceedingly poor health. He was taken down about a week ago with heart disease which ultimately caused his death.  John was a bright and lovable child and to the bereaved parents the sincere sympathy of a host of friends is extended in his sad hour.-kbz
