A wife and three little daughters mourn the loss of a devoted husband and an affectionate father.  This sudden call came as a ‘bolt’ from the clear sky; the sun became dark at midday. The heartbroken young wife has the prayers and sympathy of a host of friends in this sad hour. Mr. Cowan was an influential member of Thompson’s Chapel M. E. Church. He was respected by all who knew him and held in high esteem by his neighbors and the community at large. He was an honest man, the noblest work of God. His end was peaceful.
