Mrs. Georgia W. Cornell, 52 years old, wife of Montgomery County Assessor Cecil Floyd Cornell died Tuesay afternoon at Culver hospital, where she had been a patient since Sunday. Mrs. Cornell had been in failing health several months, and critically ill the past week. Born Jan, 18, 1892 at Colfax in Clinton county, Mrs. Cornell was the daughter of Ford Gambrel and Oca Gambrel. She came to Crawfordsville in 1935 after having been a resident of Darlington since 1902. Mrs. Cornell was a member of the Trinity Methodist church, and the Darlington Order of Eastern Star. Surviving, besides the husband, who is one of Montgomery county's best know officials, are two sons, Capt. Robert A. Cornell of the army medical corps in the European theater of operations, and Pvt. David E. Cornell of Fort Knox, Ky., a daughter Mrs. Virginia Newnum of Crawfordsville, four grandchildren, one of whom was born Monday, April 2, to Capt. and Mrs. Cornell at the Coleman hospital in Indianapolis, a nephew, Vern O'Dell of Indianapolis, and a niece, Elizabeth Williams also of Indianapolis.
