Corbin - John A.

John A. Corbin, died Saturday evening at 6 o'clock at his home on east Market street, of general debility, after a short illness. The funeral occurred from the home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Wallace Tharp, assisted by Rev. J.F. McDaniel. The Masons had charge of the services at the grave, interment being at the Masonic cemetery.
Mr. Corbin was born January 18, 1838, in Boone county, and had been a resident of this city for sixteen years. He had been married twice and leaves two sons and four daughters, and three stepsons. Mr. Corbin was a member of the firm of Corbin & Hill and served in the union army in the civil war and was a member of the Masonic fraternity. He was a member of the christian church and was respected as a good business man and father. – thanks to Kim H
