CONRAD, Isaac

Isaac Conrad died at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the family residence, 20 South Third street. He had suffered for seven years with a complication of diseases. He was born in Ross county, Ohio, June 29, 1827, and, with his parents, moved to Montgomery county, Indiana, soon after. Nearly all his life was spent in Tippecanoe and Montgomery counties. June 16, 1853, he was married to Elizabeth Driscol, who died March 19, 1907. Mr. Conrad was a member of the Christian church and was a man of sterling character. He was well known and was held in high esteem. He is survived by the following children: Owen J. and Wheeler Conrad and Mrs. Electa Campion, of Indianapolis; Joseph Conrad of Illinois; Mrs. Leona Chizum, Mrs. Catherine Ilgenfritz and Miss Emma Conrad of this city.   --– thanks to Lena for this one
