William H. Conkleton, who lived two miles east of here, died on last Friday night. Mr. Conkleton had been complaining for some time with symptoms of typhoid fever and some think that typhoid was the cause of his death, while others claim that his death was caused by drinking water from the well in which rats that had been poisoned with Rough on Rats were thrown.
