Covington, April 21 – Funeral services for Lt. George L. Coffing, who was killed in an airplane accident in Scotland, Feb 18 2ill be held from the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William B. Coffing Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The remains arrived in Covington today and final arrangements for the funeral are now being made. The National Soldiers Home band the home in charge of Rev. HIK Fox, former pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Danville, Ill will escort the body to the cemetery after the services at church here. Two or three hundred returned soldiers will also act as escort. Lt. Coffing was one of Covington’s most popular boys and was famed as an athlete in Wabash College. It is thought arrangements may be made to have some aviators from the Rantoul field to aid in paying last honors to the Fountain County hero. It is not unlikely some of the fliers will be sent here to fly about the grave during the last rite
