DARLINGTON – Theodore “Ted” Duane Coffing, 53, of Darlington died at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was retired from Raybestos. He attended Indiana Beauty College, Advance Hair Styling at Chicago and Ivy Tech. His memberships included St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and he was educated in Crawfordsville High School. He was born Sept. 29, 1940 at Crawfordsville to Carroll S. and Catherine Wren Coffing. On March 30, 1960, he married Thelma Lou Harrison at Darlington. She survives. Also surviving are his parents; two sons, Jay of Darlington and Ed of Crawfordsville; a stepson, James Stephen Bishop of Darlington; one daughter, Lorrie Kathleen Morris of Crawfordsville; a stepdaughter, Lorie Ann Greene of Wingate; two brothers, Ernest W. and C.E. “Rusty” both of Crawfordsville; one sister, Cathy Weliever of Darlington; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, James William Coffing. Services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church with Father Paul Graf officiating. The body will be cremated. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday at the church, where a Rosary will be conducted at 8. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Masses at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Hunt & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. --- Tkanks to dkd
