Mrs. Olive Cobb only daughter of Henry Macy near Hazelrigg died in the hospital at Lafayette Tuesday of LaGripp and complications arising there from. On Saturday the father went over to see her and returned home Monday morning leaving her much better after placing her under the care of skilled nurses at the hospital. On Tuesday he was called by telegram but before arriving she had passed away. The remains were sent out on Thursday morning, accompanied by the bereft husband and friends and the funeral was conducted from her childhood home. She will be remembered as a bright young girl but a few years ago, the light of her father’s home and who is now sadly bereft. She also leaves two children. Mrs. Cobb was26 years of age and married in ’95. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Hazelrigg. The funeral was held at 11 o’clock Thursday, Rev. Joseph Brown officiating. The burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery. – kbz
