Waynetown - Homer W. "Bill" Coats, 81 of Waynetown died at 2:30 pm. Saturday in Culver Hospital of natural causes. Mr. Coats was a retired farmer and bookeeper. He was a graduate of Kingman HS and Lafayette Business College. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps and attended Scotts Prairie Christian Church and Alamo Christian Church.  He was born Dec 24, 1914 at Steam Corner, Ind to John iand Vereta June Stockdale Coats. He married Ruth Price Dec 21, 1941 at Waynetown. She survives.  Also surviving are a son, David of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Daivid (Joan) Philpott of Plainfield; a brother, Francis of Waynetown and two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, a daughter, a half brother and half sister. Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Shoemaker Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Jim Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
