CHARLEY COONS

Evening Journal, June 2, 1883
Charley Coons, the son of Harvey and
Clay Coons, died last Sunday morning at his father's residence, on the corner
of Market and Walnut streets. He had been suffering for some time with
consumption, which he contracted at work in a basement in Cincinnati. He
was but 19 years of age, but had lived long enough to prove to his parents the
value of a good and affectionate son. He was a young man of
irreproachable character and tireless industry, working, even, when scarcely
able to do so. He was much beloved by his friends and respected for his
many excellent traits by those who knew him less intimately. The funeral
occurred last Monday afternoon, Dr. Tuttle officiating. – kim h
