WALTER S. COONS

Walter S. Coons 78, a native of Crawfordsville, died July 13 of heart disease at St Joseph hospital, Louisville, Ky.
Born Feb. 21, 1871, Mr. Coons spent his childhood and young manhood in this city. He left here at the turn of the century and since then had been associated with the Monon railroad. At the time of his death he was superintendent of the weighing and inspection department.
Mr. Coons also was active in church affairs in Louisville. He was a member of the Methodist congregational church and president of the Business Men’s Sunday school class of the church.
Surviving are a sister; Miss Daisy Coons, and two nieces, Mrs. Frank Holland and Mrs. Helen Edwards, all of Crawfordsville.
