Ora K. “Joe” COOK, 62, RR 6, Conrad Rd, former treasurer of Crawfordsville died Monday night at Culver Hospital; been patient 8 days. Born in Waveland Oct 24, 1900 son of William and Rosella Cook; first married Myrtle Miller who died in 1946. 2nd marriage to Betty Jean Cooper March 25, 1946 in Crawfordsville. She survives. Mr. Cook served as treasurer of Producers Dairy Products Co. from 1931 to 47. The company later was purchased by Meadow Gold Dairy & Mr. Cook then started a refrigerator repair business. He was member of Crawfordsville Maosnic Lodge and 1st Baptist Church, Crawfordsville. Survivors in addition to widow include two sons; Robert L and Kent E; two brothers, Oscar and Harry; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Taylor and Mrs. Leatha Milam; 4 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Carlton Christenson officiating; burial in Masonic Cemetery, Crawfordsville. - kbz
