Mellott - Mrs. Gusta Smith has received word of the death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Earl Cook, age 71, of Blackwell, Okla. Mrs. Cook died Monday, Nov. 26, after a long illness. A native and former resident of the Wingate community, she was the former Edith Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Smith. Surviving are the husband, two sons, four daughters, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one brother, Ernest Smith of Wingate. - kbz
