Mrs. Doris K. Cook, 57, died at 6:05 a.m. Wednesday at Community Hospital in Indianapolis. Mrs. Cook had been in failing health for six months and seriously ill for the last week. She was born March 2, 1906, at New Market to Charles and Ella Watts Kochell. She was married to Paul Hankins in 1921 and to Don Cook in 1935. Mrs. Cook was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. She lived in Montgomery County all her live and lived in New Richmond for several years. She moved to Cumberland 18 months ago. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William Thompson of Cumberland; a grandson, Dennis Thompson; and a half brother, Murrette West of Danville, Ill. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
