Word was received here on Friday that Frank Conner, a former citizen had been killed the previous day near Whitesboro, Texas. Mr. Conner had been a bridge carpenter for many yers on the Texas & Pacific road and lived at Paris, Texas. At the time of the accident he and his crew were working on a bridge. A freight train disregarded their cautionary signals and while endeavoring to get their push car out of the way, Mr. Conner was struck by the engine and thrown to the bottom of the creek where his head struck a stone and was crushed. He died in a few minutes. Funeral services were held in the central Presbyterian Church at Paris, and he was buried by the side of his daughter, who died two years ago. The local papers speak very highly of him. Mr. Conner was born in Waveland in the house now occupied by Henry Loudermill. He married after leaving here, and his wife, Mrs. May Conner survives him. After leaving Waveland, he lived some time in the Indian Territory aftewards going to Texas. - kbz
