Mrs. Charles Conner, a much respected former resident died in Frankfort Sunday. Some months ago she fell down some steps and hurt herself severely and has not had good health since but the immediate cause of her death was heart trouble which developed on Thursday. Funeral services at the ME Church here on Wednesday morning were conducted by Rev. John Caldwell of Crawfordsville. Burial at Maple Ridge. Many friends of Mrs. Conner were not able to be present because they did not know the hour of the funeral. The following obituary was read: "Anna Laura, daughter of James and Susan Bell Fields, was born Feb 14, 1865, in Cincinnati, Ohio and departed this life at the home in Frankfort at 12 p.m. Sunday at the age of 60 years 2 months 19 days. She was united in marriage to Charles Conner Feb 26, 1887, who preceded her in death 8 years ago. Mrs. Conner was a resident of Waveland until Oct 21, 1922 when she moved to Frankfort that she might be with her children. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church being a member of the First Baptist Church at Frankfort at the time of her death. Mrs. Conner is survived by four sons: James, Harry and Thomas of Frankfort and Joseph of Indianapolis and by 3 daughters; Mrs. Laura Grimes and Mrs. Charles Reed of Frankfort and Mrs. Samuel Walters of Indianapolis, and by two grandsons, Leonard Grimes and Charles Albert Reed. -- kbz
