ROCKVILLE, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Marie Collings, 65, died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday (March 11, 1969) at St. Anthony's Hospital, Terre Haute. Born in Parke County May 10, 1903, she was the daughter of Andrew J. and Myrtle Skelton Asbury. She was married in 1920 to Merle Collings, who survives. Mrs. Collings was a former teacher and librarian. She graduated from Belmore High and held bachelor and master degrees from Indiana State College, starting her teaching career in 1930 and had taught in the Indianapolis, Avon and Rockville school systems. She was a member of the Shiloh Methodist Church in Hendricks County, past matron of Bridgeport Chapter No. 513 Order of the Eastern Star, was a member of the White Shrine of Indianapolis, the Business & Professional Women's Club of Rockville and the American Association of University Women. Other survivors include a brother, Carl Asbury of Rockville, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Butler Funeral Home in Rockville. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. - jlr
