CATHERINE SMITH COLE

Source: Crawfordsville Daily Journal Tuesday Oct 8, 1918

N.C. Euler received a message this afternoon informing him of the death of Mrs. Euler's sister, Mrs. Kate Cole at her home in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The cause of death was double pneumonia and uremic poisoning, and the illness was of short duration. Mrs. Cole formerly resided in this city and was united in marriage to Mr. Cole here at which time he was employed on one of the Crawfordsville newspapers. They resided here for a little over a year. Mrs. Cole was the youngest sister of Mrs. Euler and was 32 years of age. She was a pianist of note and her sweet disposition and ever-present smile always won her many friends, of whom she was quite a number in this city who will be pained to hear of her death. For the past four or five years Mr. and Mrs. Cole have resided in Lawrenceburg where they conducted a newspaper and job office. While on a visit to her sister, Mrs. Euler, in this city, last summer, Mrs. Cole was compelled to go to the hospital with an attack of uremic poisoning and her life at that time was despaired of. Deceased is survived by her mother, Mrs. JW Smith of Caldwell, O, three sisters and a brother. The body will be taken Thursday morning to the home of her birth, Caldwell, O, where it will be place beside that of her father who preceded her in death several years ago. - kbz
