WAVELAND — Alma Claudine Coffman, 66, of Rt. 1, Waveland, died Monday evening in Culver Hospital. She had been in failing health for approximately one year. Mrs. Coffman was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She had lived in the Waveland area the past 24 years. Born in Edgar County, Ill., Sept. 28, 1910, she was a daughter of Stephen and Anna Watson Coy. She married Lee Coffman Nov. 21, 1927. He survives. Also surviving are five sons, Richard of Oakland, Ill., Rodney and Ronald of Rockville, Howard of Waveland and Bill of Hinesboro, Ill.; four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Kitson of Villa Ridge, Mo., Mrs. Alma Duckworth of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Betty Watkins of Villa Grove, Ill., and Mrs. Jane Thomas of Rockville; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Morgan of Homer, Ill., and Mrs. Lottie Flemming of Christman, Ill.; and two brothers, Everett Coy of Newman, Ill., and Joe Coy of Christman. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Freedom Baptist Church where the body will lie in state one hour prior to services. The Rev. William Larison will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
