Cozetta Lewellen Coats, 67, died in Carmen Nursing Home at 6 a.m. Wednesday. She worked for R.R. Donnelley & Sons until 1968. A resident of the nursing home since April, she had resided in different areas of the county, including Waynetown and Waveland. Mrs. Coats was born May 8, 1921, at Stilesville, Ind., to Roy and Hallie Wallace Ward. She married Arnold Lewellen of Waynetown in May of 1941. He died in 1966. Survivors include two sons, Gary Lewellen of Panama City, Fla., and Terry Lewellen of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Lois Johnson and Mrs. Steve (Judith) Ford of Crawfordsville; a brother, Raymond "Eugene" Ward of Canby, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Edna Snyder of Indianapolis; and nine grandchildren. A son, Steve, is deceased. Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday in Floral Park Cemetery at Indianapolis, with the Rev. Richard Baker officiating. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown.

Crawfordsville—Cozetta Lewellen Coats, 67, 301 Russell Ave., Crawfordsville, formerly of Route 1, Hillsboro, died at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1989 in Carmen Nursing Home, Crawfordsville. She had been a resident there since April 1988.

  She was born May 8, 1921 in Stylesville, the daughter of Ray and Hallie Mae Wallace Ward. She was married May 26, 1941 to Arnold Lewellen, who preceded her in death in 1966.

  Surviving are two sons, Gary Lewellen, Panama City, Fla., and Terry Lewellen, Crawfordsville; two daughters, Lois Johnson and Mrs. Steven (Judith) Ford, both of Crawfordsville; a brother, Eugene Ward, Camby, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Edna Snyder, and nine grandchildren.
