Waynetown - Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Steube Coit, 89, were held at the Jones-Sullivan Funeral Home, Danville, Ill Thursday afternoon. She died at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient nine days. She had resided in Danville all her life until 5 years ago when she came to Waynetown to reside with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Starnes. Mrs Coit was born in Danville Feb 14, 1875 the daughter of Frederick and Fredericka Pries Steube. She married in 1898 Harry J. Coit, former Danville constable and police officer. He preceded her in death in the early 1930s.. Surviving besides the daughter, are a son, Harry J. Coit, Pontiac, Ill, two brothers Ernest and Phil Steube, Danville; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, two sisters and a son. Mrs. Coit was a member of the Grace Methodist Church and the Red Clover Club at Danville - kbz
