horntown - Martin L. Clouser, 85, former manager of the Thorntown Telephone Co., died in his home here Thursday after a long illness.  He retired in 1946 after having been employed by the telephone company 43 years.  Born near Darlington, he was married twice.  He was married in 1893 to Eliza V. Moore and after her death he married in 1918 Goldie M. Pierson. He was a charter member of the Independent Telephone Association of Indiana and St. Joseph Catholic Church at Lebanon.  Surviving with the widow are four daughters: Mrs. Pauline Fye, Clinton, Ohio; Mrs. Gertrude Gosler, Los Angeles and Mrs. Martha Lea, and Miss Catherine Clouser, both of Akron, Ohio; a stepson, Charles Pierson, Mulberry; two brothers, Boyd O. of Indianapolis and Charles of Darlington and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Callahan, Eastonville, Colo.
